The School District of Clayton is seeking a talented educator to teach literacy at Wydown Middle School for the 2025-2026 school year. The successful candidate will have a strong foundation in the study of literature, writing and middle school pedagogy.  Middle school literacy teachers guide students to make personal connections to literature.  The successful candidate will be knowledgeable about middle school philosophy and the developmental needs of adolescents and will be able to present the curriculum using a problem-centered approach.

Education: Bachelor's Degree required. Major or minor in content area preferred. Master’s Degree preferred.  

Certification: Missouri teacher certification, with required endorsements for subject and level assigned.

Experience: Preferred.
