We believe our substitute teachers are critical for the continuance of the learning process when our classroom teachers are absent. Whether substitute teachers are giving direct instruction, monitoring students or assisting staff, they ensure the day is purposeful and productive.
Education: According to the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, substitute teachers must have a minimum of 36 college credit hours to qualify for a substitute certificate. A Content Substitute certificate may also be granted to an individual who has a high school diploma, General Education Diploma (GED), or High School Equivalency Test (HiSET) and has successfully completed a minimum of twenty (20) clock hours of department-approved substitute teacher training.
Certification: A Missouri Teaching Certificate or eligibility for a teaching certificate is preferred. Must be eligible for a substitute certificate.
Experience: Preferred.
Compensation: $130/Day
Benefits: Not Eligible.
FLSA Status: Exempt, Professional Exemption-Teacher.
