The School District of Clayton is seeking a highly-qualified administrative assistant to provide support to the principal of Captain Elementary School for the 2024-2025 school year.  The administrative assistant in this position performs a variety of clerical and secretarial duties requiring initiative, independent judgment, and decision making within established policies and procedures.  Duties frequently require the discreet and tactful handling of confidential material, and interaction with the staff, parents, students, and community.

Education Requirements:  High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience:  Minimum of 2 - 3 years experience as an administrative assistant or equivalent position.  Prior school district office experience is highly desirable.

Compensation:  District provides its staff with highly competitive pay.

FLSA status:  Non-exempt.

Work Calendar:  12 month position
